Mesotherapy (from Greek mesos, "middle", and therapy "to treat ") is a non-surgical cosmetic medicine treatment. Mesotherapy employs multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into subcutaneous fat.

Mesotherapy is a technique invented in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor of France. It is proven to reduce areas of fat and cellulite that do not typically respond to diet and exercise. Over the past 50 years, in excess of 15,000 physicians worldwide have used a form of Mesotherapy daily in the medical practices.

Mesotherapy is acclaimed as the one of the treatment to refine and eliminate cellulite. Mesotherapy promotes body sculpting with targeted fat reduction.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Mesotherapy work?
Mesotherapy is scientifically based on current medical practice. The formulas are vitamins, minerals, plant extracts, and FDA approved drugs, that are injected into the mesoderm, or middle layer of the skin, to “liquefy” the body’s fat cells, which will then be either burned as energy or is carried through the bloodstream and excreted by the kidneys and bowel.

The procedure takes only 30 minutes. Depending on the amount of unwanted fat and cellulite involved, 3 to 10 treatments are generally needed. Both men and women are benefiting from Mesotherapy. Mesotherapy is non-surgical alternative to liposuction.

The Advantages of Mesotherapy over Liposuction.
Mesotherapy offers a safer, less invasive alternative without the downtime involved with Liposuction. Liposuction does not treat cellulite and in fact, often results in making the cellulite more prominent and asymmetrical. Mesotherapy treats cellulite directly and the result is a smoother, refined skin surface.

Microinjections of an individualize "fat burning" formula are given directly into the areas being treated (love handles, arm flaps, saddlebags, etc.) A series of treatments are given spaced two weeks apart. Results are considered permanent as long as the patient adheres to a proper diet and exercise regimen. Occasional touch-ups may be required.

Is Mesotherapy safe?
Mesotherapy is a safe technique using all FDA approved pharmacological agents, homeopathic formulas and natural plant extracts. The most common side effect from Mesotherapy treatment is bruising.

Who cannot have Mesotherapy.

Patients who are pregnant, have uncontrolled insulin-dependent diabetes, history of recent cancer, recent heart disease or stroke, or immunocompromised patients are NOT eligible for Mesotherapy treatment.

What is Phosphatidylcholine?
Prosphatidycholine is the chief component of soy lecithin.  One significant quality of Lecithin is the ability to break down fat.

What is it used for?
Phosphatidylcholine is medically proven to reduce cholesterol, increase metabolism and enhance liver and cellular functions.

Can the solution ”melt” other organs?
Phosphatidylcholine has been used intravenously since the 1950’s in cardiac related illnesses to reduce cholesterol and plaque.  These procedures recommend a much higher dosage on daily treatment than which is used in fat dissolve procedures once every 14 days.   There have never been reports of any ‘melting” of organs from high dosage use of phosphatidylcholine in the past fifty years.

What should be expected following a treatment?
There may be a minor pain, throbbing and tenderness; bruising, swelling for 48 hours and a few nodules which will disappear.

How much does Mesotherapy cost?
A treatment may run anywhere from $300-$400 per area per treatment with discounts for packages.

Can I go back to work after the treatment?
There is no recovery time and you should be able to return to normal activities immediately.
